Our Projects.
To achieve our GOALS KIBEC is geared towards the contruction of:
A Vocational Trainig Institute
A Hospital
A Club House for Children
A Sport Recreational Centre
A Community Radio Development Project
An ICT Development Project
An Agricultural Project

1. A Vocational Training Institute
CARPENTRY, TAILORING AND BATIK.
The aim of this centre shall be the professional training of youths and women, equiping them with vital tools that will enable them to be self-employed, contributing to the reduction of the community's unemployment and illiteracy.
CARPENTRY
The carpentry section shall be set up for the training of youths and young adults that have been directly or indirectly affected by the war, ex-combatants, and school drop outs as a result of the war and others who cannot continue schooling because of economic reasons. The training, which shall last for three years, will be centred upon the construction of homes and the production of home and office furniture.
TAILORING AND DESIGN
This department shall be for the training of youths and women focused on the design and creation of modern and traditional apparels.
BATIC
Batik will be for the training of women to tie and dye different colours and patterns of clothes. The dyed materials will be passed unto the tailoring department for design and creation. During the training, students will be producing some items which will be sold and upon completion of the training, students shall be given some basic financial help, materials and or tools with which they could start off to becoming self- employed. Proceeds from the sales will also be used for the administration of the centre.
2. A Hospital
It is the aim of KIBEC to build a hospital in Koindu for the Kissi Bendu Community, where medical examination can be done to determine the condition of patients and to do minor operations. Many children and women have lost their lives for lack of proper medical dignosis and attention, especially infants and pregnant women. Many sick people have to travel miles and miles away to be attended to medically in Liberia or Guinea.

3. A Community Radio
The only form of communication within the community and unfortunately it is lacking. There are no newspapers and TV stations to pass basic information to the community. KIBEC would like to establish a local community radio station to facilitate information dissemination within the community. To also create a platform of different radio programmes whereby everybody (children, youth, women and men) in the community would have an opportunity to participate by expressing their views on issues affecting the community. It will also be an important tool for educating the community on matters vital to them.

4. An Agricultural Project
The majority of the Kissi Bendu Community is dedicated to agriculture. One of the community’s greatest incomes before and after the war has been on agriculture. It is the desire of KIBEC to create cooperation among farmers in the Community with the view of enabling them to engage into sustainable agriculture. The agricultural system in the Kissi Bendu Community has been very limited. Kissi Bendu has vast fertile lands which are not being used adequately due to lack of information and proper tools. KIBEC would want to create a forum wherein farmers will engage in practical and meaningful techniques for sustainable agriculture as well as crop diversity.
